Analysis of Basic Environmental Health Facilities Associated with Risk Factors of Diarrhea Among Toddlers

Diarrheal disease in young children (toddlers) seems increasingly common tropical countries, especially dirty and dense urban areas. Diarrhea can last several days cause the body to lose fluids needed for survival. This study aimed determine sanitation factors that influence incidence of diarrhea. Methods: used a case-control design involving 100 respondents. All respondents were divided into two groups: case class (toddlers who had diarrhea) control did not experience diarrhea). Results Discussion: showed four sub-variables (waste, drainage conditions, domestic wastewater management, water source safety) significant relationship with diarrhea (p-value 0.05). Domestic was most influencing factor securing clean drinking sources, Nagelkerke R Square value 0.952. There an indication independent variable (sanitation) affected dependent (diarrhea incidence) by 95.2%. Conclusion: The sub-variable management safety sources affecting 12 times riskier. It means get it will have risk getting Meanwhile, aspect meet requirements 8.13
